Electronic T-card & Engineer's
Diary
Managing a mobile workforce and making best use of available
resources has long been a difficult task. The ViXEN Engineer's
Diary module allows supervisors to manage the work of engineers
working on-site more effectively: jobs are allocated to
the appropriately skilled and located engineers; time is
used most efficiently and comprehensive records are kept
of job progress.
Engineer's Mobile Data
As an extension to the ViXEN Service & Maintenance system,
ViXEN offer remote communications links with engineers,
using the latest technology to make service provision more
efficient than ever before. Using hand-held PDA's, engineer's
receive notice of new jobs electronically and are able to
update the ViXEN system automatically with records of their
action, including sign-on and sign-off, job progress, parts
orders and signed formal documentation.
Web Call Logging & Interrogation
Using a secure, restricted access Web connection, ViXEN
Web Call allows 'call-out' job details to be logged directly
onto the installed Resource Planning Scheduler, dramatically
reducing inputting times and reducing the likelihood of
error. In addition to the company's staff being able to
load calls, clients are able to log jobs and work instructions
on-line directly and interrogate the status and progress
of previously reported jobs.
