ViXEN Remote Comms - the integrated ViXEN Service & Maintenace module

Integrated with other ViXEN modules - including ViXEN Engineer’s Diary, Web Call Logging & Interrogation, and ViXEN Service & Maintenance Database – ViXEN Remote Comms provides the facilities necessary for the most efficient and effective management of the modern service and maintenance workforce.

Using hand-held PDA’s, engineers receive notice of new jobs logged on ViXEN Engineer’s Diary electronically, without the need for job sheets to be picked up manually or expensive and potentially inconvenient calls. Engineers are able to update the ViXEN system automatically with records of their action, including sign-on and sign-off, job progress, parts orders and signed industry forms (eg Part P).

ViXEN’s new Auto-Cert facility is capable of submitting completed forms electronically to the appropriate certification body without the need to re-key manually or traditional postage expenses.

Information is logged automatically against the specific job allowing for immediate invoicing and the provision of customer documentation and certificates.

ViXEN Engineer’s Diary allows for the scheduling of planned and reactive maintenance work. Using an on-screen ‘drag & drop’ facility, jobs are easily allocated and moved between engineers, the auto-verification facility ensuring that the selected engineer has time available.

Coupled with optional tracking and mapping functions, this resource scheduler enables users to allocate work quickly and effectively to appropriately skilled and located engineers. While benefiting field operatives themselves, this facility also helps your company get the very most from its mobile workforce.

The ‘at-a-glance’ electronic T-card and whiteboard design enables supervisors to check job and engineer status immediately. Supported by the ViXEN Service & Maintenance Database, Engineer’s Diary benefits from access to client, site and plant information, as well as installation and maintenance histories. Job drill-downs give easy access to these details, helping engineers to prepare for work in advance of site visits, reducing the number of necessary follow-on calls and, consequently, improving workforce productivity.

Additionally, the system links to - and populates, as appropriate - modules within the ViXEN Service & Maintenance financial suite. As well as dramatically reducing data-entry times, the integrated system allows for detailed cross-modular analysis, and helps decrease the quantity of office paperwork.
