Univix offers mobile solution
for technotrans
technotrans, a global print solutions manufacturer, has
sought to advance its service operation in the UK with the
introduction of service management solution Univix. |

Looking to take advantage of recent advancements in mobile
technology, technotrans attended the SME 2005 exhibition
at the NEC where they were impressed by the potential of
the Univix solution.

The company, which manufactures
and maintains printing solution machinery, employing 630
people worldwide, sought to adopt a solution which would
streamline their field service operation in the UK.
Univix includes a back-office resource planning and workflow
application and will equip the technotrans engineers with
vital job, site and plant information via PDAs in the field.
Alongside the improvements in response times, service delivery
and reporting technotrans’ management anticipates,
the adoption of optional engineer mapping and tracking will
also enable work to be allocated more effectively.
