Universities benefit from
Vixensoft budget estimating scheme
Vixensoft is giving leading Universities the opportunity
to introduce students to the future of budget estimating.
ProjectWinner, an “intelligent” software application
increasingly relied upon by construction industry leaders,
is being offered to universities at a heavily discounted
price, to help them keep pace with industry developments.
We have launched the scheme, Estimating Excellence,
in an effort to support the education of construction industry
professionals. Marketing Manager, James Rogers, explained
that “It’s important that all companies involved
in the construction industry take an interest in its future.
We’re very keen to support education and research
and I’m sure this initiative will receive the support
of universities and those industry leaders using the software,
who will benefit in the long term.” |
ProjectWinner
is a knowledge-based application with more than 70 man years
of development behind it. With equal application in construction,
mechanical and electrical budget estimating, the software
‘intelligently’ infers answers to questions
where, in the pre-design stage, the data is not known, in
order to deliver an accurate budget estimate in a fraction
of the time taken using traditional methods. |

Already being used in commercial practice
by construction companies, contractors and consultants, Universities
have shown themselves keen to take advantage of the scheme.

explained: “In addition to teaching techniques of cost
planning and estimating we seek to ensure that students are
aware of a range of cost modelling tools and are able to both
use and evaluate them. ProjectWinner provides a valuable,
