Relieving the burden of Part P

Electrical contractors can breathe a collective sigh of relief as Part P need no longer be such a time consuming obligation.

As an extension to the Vixensoft building services mobile solution, Avixsys, Part P form submission can now be fully automated.

The new Vixen Auto-Cert facility is capable of completing engineer-to-authorisation body certification in an electronic, paperless process, without the need even to re-enter and submit information via a web browser.

Data from forms completed on-site by an engineer on a PDA is electronically sent back to the office where it is automatically stored and collated for electronic submission to the authorisation body at the touch of a button. The move, which will also speed the certification itself, is a major new time and cost saver for electrical contractors and maintenance providers, until now required manually to re-key, email, fax or post forms.

Vixensoft’s Managing Director, Brian Rogers, said, “We are always looking for ways of improving the service we can offer, and reducing the workload and costs associated with Part P has been a very well received addition to our mobile solution.”
