Barnes arrival strengthens Vixensoft position.

Colin Barnes, the founder of Barnes Computing, has joined Vixensoft in what has been described as “a very positive step” by MD, Brian Rogers. Signalling our ambitious plans for the future, Mr Barnes' appointment will see a sales base established in the North West and a strengthening of our contracting industry expertise.

Mr Rogers commented, “We’re delighted to have someone of Colin’s reputation and experience join us. He’s well known, liked and respected within the industry and his knowledge of the M&E sector will prove invaluable to us. As a company we’re looking to strengthen our resources as we develop our services further, and Colin’s appointment is a very positive step for us in this respect.

Colin Barnes, who sold Barnes Computing in 2001 to Estimation where he served as a Board Director until 2004, is now looking forward to returning to the industry. “I still have many friends within the contracting sector and I’m pleased to be back working in this field again. Obviously my knowledge of the industry and its software demands were the reasons why Vixensoft approached me and it was clear that this would be a very good opportunity for me to make the most of my experience. I’m excited by the prospect of working with Vixensoft, having known of the company for a long time and having been impressed by their range of products and development plans for the future. I’m now looking forward to helping them build on the company’s success to date”.

Mr Barnes will be based in Manchester, liaising closely with Sales Director Kevin Balfe who manages the Vixensoft Central England office in Coleshill, Birmingham.
